          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">We studied conditions for land mobile robot to climb a step. Climbing a step depends on whether the centre of gravity of the robot can pass through the step boundary surface. The height of the step that can be climbed is determined by the relationship between the shape of the robot and the position of the centre of gravity. Based on these relationships, we have developed simulation software that determines the height of the steps that can be climbed.</datacite:description>
