The college establishment standards were revised, and colleges are required to comply with the new establishment standards. Major points of the revision are briefly described in this paper. The aim of the revision of the standards is to realize diverse learning in colleges and to ensure the quality assurance of college education in a recently changing environment. There are other measures for the quality assurance of education, such as accreditation and information disclosure. It is also necessary to strengthen efforts to ensure the quality of education, taking into these measures in College of Industrial Technology.
